Dr Olli Haltia has over 30 years’ experience in managing advisory and investment related teams in the environment of private equity and consulting with sound track record. Some 20 years of forest sector experience with wide geographical range and global touch. Thorough professional exposure to forest and natural resource technology-driven investments and financing issues and expertise in advisory assignments related to industrial restructuring. Expert in timberland investments, management and valuation as well as in the questions related to forest ownership and public-private-partnership models. Mr Petteri Seppänen has 30 years of professional experience and proven track record in sustainable forest management with focus on commercial forest plantations. Previously he has worked 10 years in the Latin American pulp and paper industry as plantation manageer and four years at Indufor Ltd as Senior Forestry Consultant covering Latin America, Europe, South East Asia, China and Africa. Most of his consulting assignments were related to plantation forestry (feasibility studies, valuation, and technical advice). In addition, Petteri has initiated, developed, and successfully exited a private teak plantation venture in Central America. He holds M.Sc. (1993) and a post-graduate degree (1996) in forest sciences (silviculture and forest management) from the University of Helsinki.

Mr Sami Veijalainen has 20 year’s experience in private equity, corporate finance and management consulting. He is a timberland investment professional with a long-term experience in timberland investments and valuations especially in Europe and Latin America. Prior to joining Dasos, he worked as a manager at KPMG Corporate Finance with focus on valuations and due diligencies in forest and other industries. Seven years’ experience with Pöyry Forest Industry Consulting focusing on timberland valuations, wood supply plans and various corporate strategy issues mainly in Europe, Russia and Latin America.
He has a M.Sc. in Accounting from the Lappeenranta University of Technology, M.Sc. in Forest Economics from the University of Joensuu, and CEFA from Hanken School of Economics (Helsinki).

Mr Tapani Pahkasalo is an investment professional who specializes on natural resources and forestry in the private equity environment. He has over 15 years of management consulting and private equity investment experience in the fields of conservation and forestry, covering a wide range of countries and geographies (Latin America, Africa Asia, Russia and Europe). In the consulting business, he worked extensively with client’s business plans and strategy processes, feasibility and other pre-investment studies in the forest industries and was leading the forest asset valuations business. In the private equity business he has worked with deal identification, all parts of the DD process, deal structuring and portfolio company management. He holds M.Sc. in Forest Economics from University of Helsinki.

Mr Hannes Kokkonen is a fully fledged forest funds’ professional with a versatile work experience of several years in the context of forest funds. Mr Kokkonen has been exposed to various fund related tasks, including diverse administrational and valuation issues at the level of funds as well as regarding forest-based natural capital assets. In particular, he has developed technical and business economic expertise concerning the accounting for and value creation based on such forestry related co-assets as wind & solar, biodiversity, carbon sequestration, recreational forest uses and water.
Prior to joining Dasos, Mr Kokkonen has worked for United Bankers in Helsinki and during his studies for Uniforst where he also served as board member in 2018-2020. He holds an M.Sc. in Forest Sciences with a major in Forest Economics from the University of Helsinki.

Mr Risto Heinänen is part of the CapMan Natural Capital
team, bringing experience in real assets and valuation-related areas. He has a
background in the financial advisory and asset management industries,

Dr Cormac O’Carroll has over 23 years’ experience with leading forest industry consultants Pöyry, in various senior roles, latterly as Global Practice Head; Forestry, Biomass and Wood Industries. Key areas of expertise include, M&A, due diligence, investment appraisal, growth, market and corporate strategy, wood industry, bioenergy and sustainability. Dr O’Carroll has advised most of the major resource owners and forest industry companies globally, many of the key finance providers to the sector (investment & development banks, private equity…) as well as important policy making bodies such as the EC and national governmental organisations. He has led hundreds of consulting assignments across the forestry value chain in Europe, Asia and Americas. Previously, he worked with major pulp and packaging company Jefferson Smurfit in marketing and strategic planning roles in Ireland, France and the UK. Dr O’Carroll has a PhD (Environmental Resource Management) and a B.Agr.Sc. (Forestry) from University College Dublin. He is an alumnus of the London School of Economics Corporate Finance and Strategy programme as well as a Technical member of the Society of Irish Foresters.
